What is a Carding Tool?
A carding tool has a specifically designed blade with grooves which removes a pet's loose coat, undercoat, and coat that is at the end of its lifecycle within the hair follicle.
The Coat Tender is made in the USA and is available in Fine, Medium, and Coarse.
FINE: The fine blade is ideal to follow up with after using the Medium. The Fine Coat Tender works well on shorter areas that produce undercoat. For example, the front of the front legs of Setters, Spaniels, Retrievers, etc.
MEDIUM: The medium blade can be used on coats that are short with medium density.
COARSE: The coarse blade works well on slightly longer coat types, that have a heavier density. The Coarse Coat Tender is also great for smooth-coated breeds.
💡 PRO TIP:
It is recommended that Professional groomers have all three Coat Tenders to be able to tackle any coat type.
